House guest shot dead in Sacramento County garage
Sheriff homicide detectives are working to identify the killer of a young man who was shot to death at a southern Sacramento County home on Sunday night.
The man, said to be in his early 20s, was inside the garage of a home in the 8000 block of Golden Meadow Drive about 10:30 p.m. Sunday when he was shot. Shots had been heard by citizens coming from the home near Power Inn Road and Elsie Avenue, prompting deputies to head for the shooting location.
As deputies responded, a resident at the home called 911 to say that a house guest had been shot in their garage. The young man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Motive for the shooting has not been released. Detectives are endeavoring to identify the shooter.
