Investigators say deaths of Carmichael man and woman are suspicious

The deaths of a man and woman, whose bodies were found in a Carmichael home Friday morning, have been deemed suspicious by officials.

Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department firefighters requested that sheriff’s deputies respond to a residence in the 5200 block of Kenneth Avenue at about 7:15 a.m. Friday for a report of a man who was not breathing in the home.

Deputies arrived and found the body of a man in his late 40s and a woman in her late 30s.

Detectives Friday were at the scene conducting a preliminary investigation, and deputies were interviewing people in the neighborhood.

Officials have not said how they believe the man and woman died.
