Coroner identifies all four from December Fair Oaks crash

All four victims of a fatal head-on vehicle crash last month in Fair Oaks have now been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

Judy Guzman, 33, of Sacramento, Brianna Rodriguez, 20, of Antelope, Michael Rodriguez, 35 of Carmichael and Daniel A. Figueroa, 24 of Sacramento died when their 1992 Buick LeSabre ran head-on into another car at 1:30 a.m. Dec. 26 and burst into flames on San Juan Avenue at Palm Avenue in Fair Oaks. The driver of the Buick survived and has not been identified.

The driver of the other car, a 2003 Subaru Outback, also survived. He was identified as David Mazur, 26, of Citrus Heights. A toxicology test concluded that Mazur did not have alcohol in his system, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A separate test was to be conducted on the driver of the Buick.

The CHP said an initial analysis suggested the crash, south of Madison Avenue, happened at normal speeds. It remains unclear which car drifted into the opposite lanes.
