Sacramento police seek tips on homicide in trailer
Sacramento police investigators are asking for the community’s help to solve a homicide early Friday evening in a vacation-type camping trailer in the Woodbine neighborhood.
The victim’s name and age has not been released pending the Sacramento County coroner’s examination.
According to police spokeswoman Traci Trapani, officers responded to a 5:28 p.m. Friday call in the 6900 block of 27th Avenue. A resident found the man unresponsive in a trailer parked on the property. The Sacramento Fire Department arrived, determined the man was dead and called for the coroner. The coroner found signs of trauma to the side of the man’s head, Trapani said.
Crime scene and homicide investigators were at the scene Friday night, collecting evidence and canvassing the area, police said.
The investigation remains active and no arrests have been made, according to a police statement Saturday.
Anyone with information can contact the police dispatch center at 916-264-5471, Crime Alert at 916-443-4357 or submit an anonymous tip via the “P3 Tips” smartphone app, police said. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
