13 people shot after fight breaks out in crowd of 200 people, Illinois police say

Thirteen people were shot early Sunday after a large fight in Illinois, police say.

Around 4:40 a.m., police in Peoria responded to a report of a large fight that broke out in a crowd of roughly 200 people, officials said in a news release.

Police found two gunshot victims at the scene: a man with a neck wound and a woman with a back wound. Both were taken by ambulance to an area hospital, according to officials.

Eleven people who suffered gunshot wounds to their arms and legs were also hospitalized, police said.

In total, six men and seven women were shot, according to officials. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
