It’s considered the songstress’s “dream home,” according to a sign in front of the four-bedroom, three-bathroom home, and “the historical integrity of the property has been kept intact” despite the fact that the basement was used as an Airbnb for a small period of time, the listing on Zillow says.

Cline lived in the house for less than a year before she tragically died in a plane crash in 1963. She and husband Charlie Dick used royalty money from a $22,000 check given to her by Decca Records to put a down payment on the home, CMT News reported.

“It was the house she aspired to, and then laid in state there,” country music historian and Country Insider editor Brian Mansfield said, according to CMT News. “She’s just all through that house.”

Despite living in the 2,770-square-foot house briefly, Wide Open Country said that Cline welcomed multiple legends to stop in and play in the music room, including Johnny Cash, June Carter, Loretta Lynn (who lived in the same area) and Brenda Lee.

Cline struggled with the spotlight for a decade before becoming a household name after singing “Walkin’ After Midnight” on the “Arthur Godfrey’s Talent Scouts” show in 1957. Before her death, she released one of her greatest hits, “I Fall to Pieces,” that topped the country charts in 1961, according to Biography.com.
