Lottery player uses spare change on ticket — and almost has ‘heart attack’ over prize
A man in Virginia could hardly believe his lottery ticket was real when he saw how much it won him.
Kevin Pullins had a little extra cash left over for buying lottery tickets ffor the week, and he decided to give the Livin’ Lucky with Luke Combs game a shot, he told lottery officials in an April 6 news release.
It won him $200,000, lottery officials said.
“I thought I was going to have a heart attack!” he told lottery officials “I wanted to make sure it was real.”
Pullins, who lives in Washington D.C. and works in the medical field, bought his lucky ticket at a Harris Teeter in Arlington because he wanted to try the new game with the biggest prize of the bunch available, according to lottery officials.
The man scored the game’s first top prize, which is a 1 out of 1,387,200 chance, the lottery officials said.
Pullins plans to use his winnings to pay off his car and do some renovations around the house, he told lottery officials.
