While a woman was out taking her grandfather to pick up some wine at a Maryland liquor store, she decided to treat herself.

The Baltimore County woman bought a $10 Money Bag Multiplier scratch-off ticket at the Dundalk store, Maryland Lottery said in an Aug. 30 news release.

She normally buys multiple tickets at a time, however, lottery officials said she “settled for just one scratch-off.”

“It’s the only one she needed,” lottery officials said in the news release.

Once the 39-year-old bartender got home, she scanned her ticket and, to her disbelief, a message popped on screen: “Take to Lottery.”

The woman won $100,000, the game’s top prize, lottery officials said.

“I play scratchers a lot, but I never win,” the woman told lottery officials.

The woman plans to spend some of her winnings on a beach vacation and tuck the rest away, officials said.

Dundalk is about 10 miles southeast of Baltimore.
