Lottery player wins $1,000 a week for life in Pennsylvania. Where was ticket sold?
A lucky lottery player has a year to claim either $1,000 a week for life or a $1 million prize, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.
The winner played the Cash4Life multi-state lottery game on Feb. 19 and won by matching all five balls drawn: 13, 21, 29, 38 and 57. The player did not, however, get the green Cash Ball, costing them the grand prize of $1,000 a day for life.
The winning ticket was sold at Latrobe Shop ‘n Save in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The store will earn a $10,000 bonus as a result.
The player is the 18th $1 million prize winner in Pennsylvania since the state joined the game in 2015.
Cash4Life has a top prize of $1,000 a day for life, and a second-tier prize of $1,000 a week ($52,000 annually) for life, minus taxes. Winners of the $1,000 a week prize can also choose the up-front $1 million prize.
The game is played in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia.
Latrobe is about a 40 mile drive southeast from Pittsburgh.
