Lottery player lands third big win with $10 scratch-off in Maryland. ‘Extremely happy’
A man who landed his third big lottery win was feeling “extremely happy,” Maryland Lottery officials said.
The lucky Burtonsville winner has won $10,000 and $50,000 in the past but had no idea a $10 scratch-off he bought would unveil a $50,000 prize, according to a March 3 news release by the Maryland Lottery.
He snagged the $10 Money Bags game in Gaithersburg, and although he’s excited about the third win, he doesn’t plan to tell anyone the goods news besides family members, officials said.
He also has different plans for this prize money, which he claimed Feb. 27, the lottery said.
The other two prizes were put toward the stock market, but this $50,000 is being used toward his house, officials said.
“This time, it’s going into my house. The stock market’s not so good these days,” he told lottery officials.
The loyal player, who also plays Racetrax, plans to stay away from lottery games before eventually easing back into playing, the lottery said.
Gaithersburg is about a 40-mile drive southwest of Baltimore.
