A lucky Virginia woman won a huge prize while playing online lottery games at her home, officials said.

Cheryl Nettingham cautiously told her husband about her jackpot win, worth nearly $900,000, the Virginia Lottery said in a March 14 news release.

“I have something to share with you,” Nettingham told her husband. “You might want to sit down.”

Nettingham won her prize playing the Bucks Triple Play game, lottery officials said.

“I was stunned,” she told lottery officials while collecting her $893,232 prize.

The Bucks Triple Play game costs between $1 and $50 to play, and “the odds of winning vary by price point,” according to the lottery.

The jackpot as of March 14 is more than $169,000, lottery officials said.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
