Stranger throws acid on face of man crossing street and flees, Hawaii cops say
A man was left in critical condition following an acid attack in Hawaii, officials said.
At about 10 p.m. on Aug. 8, a 30-year-old man was crossing the street when another man came up to him and threw sulfuric acid in his face, causing severe burns, according to a Facebook post by the Honolulu Police Department.
The man was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, officials said.
The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall man wearing a blue shirt, with a camera around his neck and carrying a red bottle, officers said.
