The biggest story in politics this summer has been the fight between Democrats – led by Gov. Gavin Newsom – and Republicans over redistricting. But, what exactly is redistricting? And how does it impact you?

Join Sacramento Bee reporters for a live, virtual Q&A on Gov. Gavin Newsom’s redistricting plan where we’ll answer your questions. The event will take place Thursday, Aug. 28 at noon.

How it will work:

Reporters Lia Russell and Nicole Nixon will stream live on The Bee’s website, Youtube page, Facebook page and Instagram.

Wondering about the new maps? Or the reasoning behind the plan? Email your questions and story tips to lrussell@sacbee.com and nnixon@sacbee.com. You can also submit comments while we are live.

We’ll post a recorded video when the live stream ends on sacbee.com and on our social media channels.

RSVP here to join us Thursday, Aug. 28 at noon pacific time.
