The state of California is hiring and paying high wages in the Department of Child Support Services, Health Care Services, State Hospitals and more.

Remember, the California Department of Human Resources implemented COVID-19 testing of all unvaccinated state employees working on site as an additional health and safety standard. Those who seek exemption of testing and facial covering must provide proof of vaccination.

State jobs are known for offering great benefits and enrollment in the nation’s largest state public pension plan. Many of the following jobs have specific requirements, which are linked. Population health management medical officer - medical consultant II | permanent full-time

Department: Health Care Services

Salary: $11,796 to $16,993 per month

The population health management medical officer uses the Department of Health Care Services’ policies and leverages Medi-Cal data to provide integrated clinical decision-making and support for population health management.

Assistant chief counsel | permanent full-time

Department: Child Support Services

Salary: $13,337 to $15,600 per month

The assistant chief counsel formulates policy, provides direction and coordinates Department of Child Support Services’ position on child support program issues. The assistant chief counsel also oversees the handling of sensitive and complex matters, attorneys and support staff in the legal services section.
