Cookies should have chocolate chips, maybe nuts or tree nuts. They certainly shouldn’t have rocks, which is why Trader Joe’s recalled Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies and Almond Windmill Cookies.
Trader Joe’s website said a supplier alerted the chain that the cookies with certain date codes might “contain rocks.” Those date codes are sell by dates of 10/17/23 through 10/21/23 for the Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond variety and 10/19/23 through 10/21/23 for the Almond Windmill flavor.
If you have these cookies in those sell by date ranges, return them to a Trader Joe’s for a full refund.
Customers with questions may contact Trader Joe’s by emailing the company through the website or by calling 626-599-3817, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Eastern time.
