Will Sacramento hit 70 degrees this week? Here’s how high temperatures will rise
Temperatures are warming up heading into the first full week of April, bringing sunshine to the Sacramento region and eventually spring-like weather after a long period of gloomy skies and rain.
The week is expected to start with daytime highs in the 60s, rising to 75 degrees or more by the end of the week.
But keep your warm clothes handy, especially at night and in the early morning.
According to the National Weather Service, cold overnight temperatures will return Monday to Wednesday. A quick, cold system will run through the Valley and foothills, bringing moderate snow in the mountains, scattered showers and a possible thunderstorm from Sunday to Monday.
Here’s the latest forecast
Highs for Monday are forecast to be near 59, with lows around 37. Gusts throughout the day may reach 24 mph.
Temperatures then inch their way up, with Tuesday’s high near 60 and the low near 37; Wednesday’s high is expected to be around 63 and the low near 41, with Thursday’s high about 66 and the low near 47.
Friday will kick off the weekend near 70 degrees, and Saturday’s high is expected to be near 73 and Sunday could reach 78.
