Sacramento has seen a streak of rainy weather over the past few days — and another storm could be on the way.

The capital city has received a total of 2.75 inches of rain so far in December, the National Weather Service reported Thursday. That’s just three quarters of an inch shy of its normal rainfall for the month.

Dry, sunny weather is forecast for Sacramento for the holiday weekend including Sunday, Christmas Eve, and Monday, Christmas Day.

Another storm system will likely be headed to the area on Wednesday, the weather service posted Thursday on X, formerly known as Twitter.
