Rain soaked Sacramento, snow buried the Sierras. These are the latest storm totals

Days of storms brought drenching rain and deep snow across Northern California, triggering power outages, snarling holiday travel and prompting Gov. Gavin Newsom to declare a state of emergency in Shasta County and five Southern California counties.

Rainfall totals reached more than 3 inches in parts of the Sacramento region, while Sierra ski resorts recorded up to 5½ feet of new snow, according to the National Weather Service.

The UC Berkeley Central Sierra Snow Lab near Truckee reported nearly 49 inches of snow over the past week, with up to 10 more inches possible as the system tapers off. Sacramento International Airport recorded 3.23 inches of rain between Sunday and Friday morning.
