A $23 cruise in Sacramento? This California river attraction is back for the summer

You can now add a river cruise to your Sacramento summer itinerary.

City Cruises is offering various ship tours this year with one starting at $23. Booking is available online.

To board, guests need to meet at 1206 Front St. between K and L Street. Be sure to check your tour and tickets for the latest information.

Here’s what the cruise offers, when and what it costs:

Historic River Cruise

For one hour, you can board a yacht and take in views of Old Sacramento’s historical sites, such as the Tower Bridge and Air Force Docks. You’ll also get to listen to a narration about the city’s history.

Dates: Thursday and Friday — Board at 12:45 p.m., cruise at 1 p.m. or board at 2:45 p.m., cruise at 3 p.m.

Saturday & Sunday — Board at 12:45 p.m., cruise: 1 p.m.

Tickets: Adults start at $22.40 and kids 4 to 12 are $17. Kids 3 and under enter free.

Rock the Yacht Cruise

This tour is a party bus but on the river.

On the cruise, you can sip cocktails from the bar and enjoy the Sacramento city lights. The tour is a few hours and is only for people 21 and over.

Dates: Friday and Saturday — Board at 8 p.m., cruise at 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Tickets: General admission starts at $42

Sights & Sips Cruise

This cocktail cruise is family-friendly. You and loved ones can travel the Sacramento River with drinks, a live DJ and small bites.

Dates: Saturday and Sunday — Board: 2:45 p.m., cruise 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. There’s also special times for Memorial Day, May 29 and Father’s Day, June 18.

Tickets: It’s $40.64 for adults and $31.12 for kids 4 to 12. Kids 3 and under enter free.

Alive After Five Cruise

Think happy hour and drinks, but on a yacht.

This tour is for people 21 and over. You can sip on drinks from the bar, relax with the river breeze, listen to a live DJ and marvel at the city skyline.

Dates: Thursday to Sunday — Board at 5:30 p.m., cruise at 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: General admission starts $29.60 for general admission.

The company is also offering special cruises for Father’s Day and Memorial Day.
