Manager Bruce Bochy says it could be worse for the injury-plagued World Series champions. “I’m not happy with it, but we’re trying to hold ground here,” Bochy says. “We’re not playing with a full deck right now. To almost have a .500 month, that’s not bad.”

River Cats: They shut out Salt Lake
Nik Turley and Cody Hall combine on a five-hitter as the River Cats defeat the Salt Lake Bees 4-0 at Raley Field. Turley picks up the win, allowing three hits and striking out eight in six innings.

So he’s unfazed by the report, which has been denied by Kings principal owner Vivek Ranadive, that the Kings are interested in Kentucky coach John Calipari.
