Another week and more smooth sailing for The Bee’s top-ranked teams.

Last week, Folsom blasted through No. 9 Del Oro 58-6 as Tyler Tremain hit six different receivers for touchdowns as the Bulldogs prepared for national powerhouse De La Salle on Friday. It’ll be a meeting of the team that has occupied the No. 1 spot in the Northern California rankings for much of the last 30 years against the one that has that spot now.

No. 2 Rocklin rolled No. 4 Granite Bay 26-6. Joey Roberts completed 8 of 10 passes for 112 yards and touchdown strikes to Nathan Kent, Elias Mullican and Kaleb Larson, and Derek Houston had 20 tackles and Kaiden Baker and Rio Patton 13 each and Bobby Piland 11.

Next week, on Oct. 15, Rocklin will host Folsom in a battle of Sierra Foothill League heavies.

Mullican had two interceptions and Baker two sacks.

No. 3 Jesuit won its fifth consecutive game since an opening-night loss at Folsom, taking out Franklin 47-16 in Delta League action behind grinders such as Jackson Hagopian and Garrett McGriff.

No. 7 Oak Ridge remains in the Top 10 despite falling to 2-4. Consider the schedule: Last week, the Trojans lost to a Bay Area power in Menlo-Atherton 35-24 despite 300 yards of all-purpose yards by Reece Catchings. No. 8 Elk Grove has a one-point loss to Oak Ridge and No. 9 Del Oro owns a narrow win over No. 10 Lincoln.

No. 10 Sacramento is 6-0 but has not played near the taxing schedule as any of the other Top 10 teams.

A big Capital Valley Conference game this week is No. 12 Antelope visiting No. 13 Woodcreek.

In the Sierra Valley Conference, No. 22 Union Mine visits No. 24 Rosemont in a battle of unbeatens. Union Mine beat Galt 41-0 behind four rushing touchdowns by Scott Smith, two touchdown passes from Calvin Owens and two Joe Repass interceptions on defense.
