A’s share giveaway schedule for 2026 in West Sacramento. How to get tickets

Rejoice, baseball fans: Major League Baseball is almost here.

Single-game tickets go on sale starting Wednesday for 2026, the Athletics’ second season based at West Sacramento’s Sutter Health Park.

The team on Tuesday said it will offer 35 giveaway items, more than double what it offered in 2025, including bobbleheads of star players. The A’s will also introduce more themed nights for home games along with “Sacramento Saturdays.”

The A’s will open the regular season on the road, facing the Blue Jays in Toronto in late March. Their home opener is April 3 vs. the Houston Astros.

Single-game tickets for some April and May games will start at $8, according to a team news release. Those will be available online at mlb.com/athletics/tickets/single-game-tickets.

The A’s this year will play six of their home games, June 8-14, in the Las Vegas area ahead of their planned move to a new, permanent ballpark in 2028. Tickets for this summer’s Vegas games will go on sale at a later date.

After 57 seasons playing in Oakland, the A’s are playing home games temporarily at Sutter Health Park — home to the San Francisco Giants’ Triple-A minor-league affiliate, the Sacramento River Cats — from 2025 through 2027.

Who gets a bobblehead?

Star first baseman Nick Kurtz, fresh off a unanimous American League Rookie of the Year award plus Silver Slugger honors, will be immortalized as a bobblehead given away April 17. Kurtz will also receive his Silver Slugger Award that day.

The bobblehead will feature Kurtz churning butter, the A’s said Tuesday — a nod to his nickname of “Big Amish” and the gesture he uses to celebrate home runs.

Kurtz, who will turn 23 in March, posted a stellar rookie year last season. He blasted 36 home runs, tying him for 10th overall and making him the leader among rookies in 2025.

Shortstop Jacob Wilson and catcher Shea Langeliers round out the lineup of player bobbleheads, with manager Mark Kotsay also getting one.

The remaining bobbleheads: Spider-Man, Hello Kitty and Grogu of the “Star Wars” universe, coincide with related specialty theme nights.

‘Sacramento Saturdays’ and other themes

The A’s plan to hand out a “Sacramento-themed giveaway item” at every Saturday home game this coming season. These include a replica baseball jersey for the second home game of the season, on April 4, and a replica basketball jersey on May 2.

The players will also wear gold jerseys with green “Sacramento” lettering on Saturdays. The franchise received backlash last season for not formally adopting “Sacramento” into the team’s official name. The Athletics remain the only MLB team without a geographic team moniker.

Pregame giveaways are also set for each Sunday home game, including kids’ baseball gloves on April 5 and a buildable Tower Bridge on Aug. 2.

Kids can also run the bases at Sutter Health Park after each Sunday game.

Fireworks shows

The A’s plan fireworks shows for their April 3 home opener, their July 4 home game vs. the Miami Marlins, and four additional Friday night games:

  • May 15, vs. the San Francisco Giants
  • June 19, vs. the Los Angeles Angels
  • Aug. 14, vs. the Texas Rangers
  • Sept. 25, vs. the Houston Astros
