Here’s who the Sacramento Kings added and here’s who they sent away in 48 hours of trades

The Sacramento Kings have remained active ahead of Thursday afternoon’s NBA Trade Deadline. Here’s who the team traded away and got in return the last 48 hours.

Who’s out?

Tyrese Haliburton: The Kings traded one of their most valuable assets to get Domantas Sabonis from the Indiana Pacers. Haliburton, 21, emerged as one of the most promising young players in the league since coming out of Iowa State as the No. 12 pick in the 2020 NBA draft. The 2021 Rookie of the Year finalist is averaging 13.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals in his second season.

Buddy Hield: Hield is the Kings’ all-time leader in three-point field goals made with 1,248. Hield spent parts of six seasons in Sacramento after being acquired in the trade that sent DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2017. Hield averaged 20.7 points per game while shooting 42.7% from 3-point range in 2018-19, but this season he is averaging 14.4 points while shooting a career-low 36.8% from beyond the arc.

Tristan Thompson: Thompson was acquired last offseason and appeared in 30 games this season. He averaged 6.2 points and 5.4 rebounds.

Marvin Bagley III: Bagley III was the second overall pick out of Duke in the 2018 NBA draft. He was most notably picked ahead of NBA All-Star Luka Dončić. Bagley was included in the four-team deal on Thursday morning that sent him to the Detriot Pistons. Bagley appeared in 30 games this season and averaged 9.3 points and 7.6 rebounds.

Who’s in?

Domantas Sabonis: Sabonis is one of the biggest trade acquisitions in Kings franchise history. The 25-year-old two-time NBA All-Star from Gonzaga. Sabonis is averaging 18.9 points, 12.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.0 blocks for the Pacers this season. In his Kings debut on Wednesday, he finished with 22 points, 14 rebounds and five assists. He is in the second year of a four-year, $74.9 million deal. He is owed $18.5 million next season and $19.4 million in 2023-24.

Justin Holiday: The 32-year-old small forward started 40 games for the Pacers this season prior to the trade to Sacramento. He is averaging 11.0 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 37.8% on 6.9 3-point attempts per game. He is owed $6.3 million next season in the final year of a three-year, $18 million deal.

Jeremy Lamb: The 29-year-old shooting guard was averaging 7.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in a backup role for the Pacers prior to coming to Sacramento. In his Kings debut, he had 14 points, six rebounds and five assists. He is making $10.5 million this season in the final year of a three-year, $31.5 million deal.

Donte DiVincenzo: The 25-year-old shooting guard is averaging 7.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 17 games this season for the Milwaukee Bucks. He started 66 games for the Bucks in 2020-21, averaging 10.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 37.9% from 3-point range. DiVincenzo was nearly acquired in November of 2020 after the Kings reportedly agreed to a sign-and-trade deal that would have sent Bogdan Bogdanovic and Justin James to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Donte DiVincenzo, Ersan Ilyasova and D.J. Wilson

Trey Lyles: The 26-year-old from Kentucky has averaged 10.4 points and 4.8 rebounds in 51 games for the Pistons this season.

Josh Jackson: The 24-year-old shooting guard from Kansas was the No. 4 pick in the 2017 NBA draft by the Phoenix Suns. He was picked ahead of De’Aaron Fox, who went to the Kings with the next pick. Jackson played his high school ball at nearby Prolific Prep in Napa. He has played for four teams in five seasons. He had his best year with the Pistons last season, averaging 13.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
