Jordan Poole’s status is uncertain as the Golden State Warriors prepare to face the Kings in Game 2 of their Western Conference playoff series.

The Warriors are listing Poole as questionable for Monday’s game at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento due to a left ankle sprain. Poole injured the ankle while driving to the basket during Saturday’s 126-123 loss to the Kings in Game 1 of their best-of-seven series.

Poole sprained the ankle when he was fouled by Kings guard Davion Mitchell late in the third quarter of Saturday’s game. Poole went down hard under the basket and came up hobbling, but he remained in the game. He finished with 17 points and three assists.

Poole, a 23-year-old guard who came out of Michigan as the 28th overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft, played all 82 games this season despite recurring issues with his left ankle. He averaged a career-high 20.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 43% from the field and 33.6% from 3-point range.

The Kings, who are making their first playoff appearance since 2006, will try to take a 2-0 lead in the series in Game 2 on Monday. The teams will then have two days off before the series shifts to Chase Center in San Francisco for Game 3 on Thursday and Game 4 on Sunday.
