LATE TUESDAY UPDATE: The NBA suspended Draymond Green one game for his actions in Game 2.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is not expected to be suspended for Game 3 of his team’s first-round playoff series against the Kings.

Green was ejected in the fourth quarter of Monday’s 114-106 loss as the Kings took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series against the defending NBA champions.

Green was assessed a Flagrant 2 foul – resulting in an automatic ejection – after stomping on Kings center Domantas Sabonis. Green followed that act with a wild outburst, climbing on the Golden State bench and grabbing his crotch while inciting the Sacramento crowd.

The NBA hasn’t issued any rulings regarding Green’s actions, but The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Tuesday that he is “unlikely” to be suspended.

“It is looking unlikely Warriors forward Draymond Green will be suspended for Game 3 vs. Kings after stepping on Domantas Sabonis when Sabonis grabbed his leg on Monday night,” Charania tweeted, citing unnamed sources. “Those around the situation expect a fine for Green, but that he will be available for Game 3 given the ejection, Flagrant Foul 2and circumstances around the incident with Sabonis.”

Green was ejected with 7:03 remaining in the fourth quarter. The incident occurred after Sabonis fell to the floor and grabbed Green’s right foot. Sabonis was issued a technical foul for grabbing Green’s foot.

Sabonis said he trying to protect himself after falling at Green’s feet. Green said “my leg got grabbed” and “I’ve got to land my foot somewhere.”

The series now moves to San Francisco for Game 3 on Thursday at Chase Center with Game 4 set for Sunday. Teams that go up 2-0 in a best-of-seven series are 222-21 all-time in the NBA playoffs. Teams that go up 3-0 are 108-0.
