Sacramento Kings among NBA All-Summer League selections. Who made it?

Two members of the Sacramento Kings were recognized as All-Summer League selections Tuesday.

Rookie first-round draft pick Nique Clifford was named to the All-Summer League First Team while Isaac Jones was named to the Second Team.

Clifford and Jones were Sacramento’s biggest summer standouts while leading the Kings to the Summer League championship game in Las Vegas. They helped the Kings win their first five games under coach Dipesh Mistry before losing to the Charlotte Hornets in Sunday’s final.

Clifford, 23, is a 6-foot-6, 205-pound guard who came out of Colorado State as the 24th overall pick in June’s NBA draft. The Kings acquired his draft rights in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Clifford was outstanding in Las Vegas, averaging 15.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.2 steals. He shot 49.3% from the field and 45.8% from 3-point range.

Clifford was named to the First Team along with the Utah Jazz’s Kyle Filipowski, San Antonio Spurs’ David Jones-Garcia, Los Angeles Clippers’ Jordan Miller and Minnesota Timberwolves’ Terrance Shannon Jr.

Jones, 25, is a 6-9, 245-pound forward/center who went undrafted out of Washington State in 2024. He signed a two-way contract with the Kings last summer before being converted to a standard NBA contract in March.

Jones averaged 18.3 points and 6.7 rebounds while shooting 64.6% in Las Vegas. He scored 36 points in a semifinal win over the Toronto Raptors to help Sacramento advance to the championship game.

Jones was named to the Second Team along with the Detroit Pistons’ Ron Holland II, Charlotte’s Kon Knueppel and KJ Simpson, and Oklahoma City’s Ajay Mitchell.
