Departing Sacramento Republic FC coach Preki leaves plenty of highlights
Preki, Sacramento’s first one-name star, leaves a record of success as he ends his run as Republic FC coach and heads for his next soccer challenge.
Coming to Sacramento with the formation of the capital’s United Soccer League franchise, Predrag “Preki” Radosavljevic turned it into a popular winner, flavored with enough attitude to generate interest beyond hard-core fans.
Preki on Wednesday announced his departure from Sacramento as he heads to the United Kingdom for an as-yet undetermined position.
Paul Buckle, who has more than 20 years experience as a player and 12 as a coach in England, has been named as Preki’s replacement.
