Stockton fire crews battle ‘devastating’ blaze
Firefighters are battling a huge blaze near down Stockton.
Wood pallets caught fire around 5:15 p.m. at Weber and B streets, Stockton police said.
Fire crews arrived to multiple homes, a warehouse and a pallet yard on fire, Stockton firefighters reported.

Several homes were evacuated and Weber to Myrtle streets and B to E streets were closed, according to police.
“Every Stockton fire apparatus is committed” to battling the “devastating” fire, the Stockton Fire Department said.
A black plume of smoke was visible for miles.
Turlock Fire Department announced it was deploying a battalion chief to Stockton as a strike team leader.
The Modesto Bee reported Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District sent five engines to the Stockton blaze.
