Missing 14-year-old Sacramento girl found safe

A 14-year-old Sacramento girl missing since Sunday was found by her mother late Monday, police said.

Police had asked for the public’s help finding Alexandra Bui, who was last seen in the area of Eagle Rock Court, in the city’s Southeast neighborhood, wearing a black-and-white backpack.

Her mother, who was driving around looking for her, found her about 10 p.m., possibly on Franklin Boulevard, said Officer Linda Matthew, spokeswoman for the Sacramento Police Department. Matthew couldn’t say where the girl had been.

“Alexandria is home and safe. Thank you for your help,” the department posted on Twitter about 12:20 p.m. Tuesday.
