Bay Area fashion retailer Bebe announced Friday it will close all of its stores at the end of next month, including three in the Sacramento region.

The Brisbane-based company has stores at Arden Fair mall in Sacramento and the Westfield Galleria at Roseville. It also has an outlet location at the Folsom Premium Outlets. The decision was publicized through a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Bebe, founded in 1976, has more than 100 stores across the nation. It is the latest casualty among brick-and-mortar retailers who are struggling to maintain sales as consumers shift their spending to the internet.
