Missing young woman found, safely returned to care home

UPDATE: At-risk missing person Sarah Martin was found and returned safely to her care home Thursday morning, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department reports.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in finding 22-year-old Sarah Martin, according to a department press release.

Martin has a diminished mental capacity and left her care home in the 4400 block of 14th Avenue in the south area of Sacramento County to go shopping Wednesday afternoon. She was last seen at 4:30 p.m. wearing a black shirt with blue jeans. She is a brown-haired white female with blue eyes. She’s 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 260 pounds.

Anyone who sees her is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 916-874-5115.
