Coroner’s Office identifies man found shot in Del Paso Heights
A man found Sunday evening in front of a Del Paso Heights home with what proved to be a fatal gunshot wound has been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as 57-year-old Steven Rathbun of Sacramento.
Sacramento police said Rathbun was disoriented when officers found him in the 3700 block of Ivy Street about 7 p.m. Sunday. The officers assisted him until Sacramento Fire Department medical personnel arrived. Rathbun was taken to a local hospital, where he died Wednesday.
Police said no motive for the shooting had been established and no arrests had been made.
