Two teens shot at Elk Grove park

Elk Grove police are investigating the shooting of two teenage boys at Fales Park.

Officer Christopher Trim said the shooting was reported at 3:43 p.m. at the park at 8485 Auberry Drive. He said the boys, ages 16 and 17, were taken to a local hospital and that their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Both teens are students at nearby Monterey Trail High School, he said.

Trim said officers went to the hospital to interview the youths.
