Four men were shot early Sunday outside a nightclub on Arden Way, and one victim later died, the Sacramento Police Department reported.
On Saturday night, two men died and another was badly wounded in shootings at a home in south Sacramento, police said. And early Saturday, gunfire in the parking lot of a midtown bar left one man dead and another in serious condition.
Sacramento police say the three incidents of gun violence over the weekend were unconnected.
“They are most definitely not related,” said Officer Matthew McPhail, a police spokesman.

The series of shootings started just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday outside Flame Club at 16th and V streets in midtown Sacramento.
Officers found an unresponsive man with a gunshot wound. A second wounded man was found close by in the neighborhood of homes and small businesses.
Both men were taken to a hospital, police said. One of the men was pronounced dead there, and the other was in serious condition.
A woman who identified herself as the bar’s owner declined to comment on the shooting Saturday, and bar patrons and a bartender declined comment Sunday.
Erin Rogers, who lives in an apartment building across from the bar, said she “woke up to gunshots” but didn’t see anything. She said she’s heard gunshots fired near the bar on three occasions in the past two years.
“We want to feel safe in our homes, and we don’t,” she said.
No arrests have been made in the case, police said. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office hadn’t released the dead man’s name as of Sunday evening.
Then, at 5 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 4700 block of Brookfield Drive, in the Parkway area of south Sacramento.
When officers arrived, they found two men in a garage with gunshot wounds, one of whom was unresponsive, police spokeswoman Officer Traci Trapani said. Both were taken to a hospital.
They also found a third man who had been shot in a back bedroom, she said. He and one of the men in the garage were pronounced dead. The third man was at a hospital with serious injuries.
Trapani said the suspected shooter was one of the men who died and that all three men knew each other. She did not identify the victims or suspect.
On Sunday afternoon, the Coroner’s Office said on its website that Philippe Matthew Kampouris, 27, died at 5 p.m. Saturday at 4738 Brookfield Drive. Family members could not be reached for comment.
The weekend’s rash of violence culminated early Sunday. Four men were shot in the parking lot of La Nueva Tropicana nightclub near Arden Way and Challenge Way, McPhail said.
Coroner’s officials identified one of the men as Cesar Aleman Luna, 28, of Sacramento. His family members could not be reached Sunday.
Medics from the Sacramento Fire Department and the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department responded and brought the victims to a hospital, where one died, McPhail said.
Police do not have a suspect in custody and are actively working the case, he said.
