A 24-year-old man and a white Ford Explorer are being sought in connection with a Placerville-area homicide that occurred late Tuesday afternoon.
Bernardo Castillo is wanted for questioning in the fatal stabbing of a woman and wounding of a child at a residence in the 3000 block of Newtown Road, according to an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office news release.
The Sheriff’s Office also is looking for a 2002 white Ford Explorer with California license plate number 4XTF911 in connection with the case.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at about 5:15 p.m. and found a woman dead inside the home. A child also was located in the residence suffering from stab wounds and was transported to a hospital for treatment, the news release said.
Castillo is described as Hispanic, about 6 feet tall, weighing 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
