Identities released in double-fatal shooting at Greenhaven home

Authorities have identified the two people found dead from gunshot wounds in Greenhaven early Friday.

Jane Yan-Cheung, 63, and Chung Cheung, 64, both of Sacramento, were pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting, at a residence on the 6200 block of Riverside Boulevard.

Sacramento police were called to the residence at about 3 a.m. by the Sacramento Fire Department, which responded to a request for medical aid, said Sgt. Vance Chandler, police spokesman.

Chandler said the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the Sacramento Police Department's dispatch center at 916-264-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 916-443-4357, or submit an anonymous tip using the free P3 Tips smartphone app. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
