Broadway in Land Park getting another new restaurant

Another restaurant is coming to the rising Broadway corridor.

Plans were submitted to the city of Sacramento this week for a restaurant and retail space at the northeast corner of 16th Street and Broadway, catty-corner to the Tower Theatre. The new building would replace a parking lot near Willie’s Burgers.

No tenants were named in the application submitted by UOP Investors and Stafford King Wiese Architects.

The application says that the restaurant will have cafe-style outdoor seating facing Broadway. That’s sure to please merchants and city officials who are trying to make Broadway a more inviting street.

A new Selland’s Market-Cafe opened up earlier this year seven blocks west of the new space.
