Elk Grove police to hold DUI, driver’s license checkpoint Friday. What to know
The Elk Grove Police Department is set to conduct a sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint Friday, according to officials.
The checkpoint was scheduled to run from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. at an undisclosed location.
The department said the checkpoint focused on impaired drivers and also targeted unlicensed drivers.
“Educational materials covering the dangers of driving under the influence will also be handed out to motorists,” police said.
Authorities said funding for the checkpoint was provided through a grant from the state Office of Traffic Safety.
