Elk Grove is honoring Pride Month with a celebration of “love and diversity” in the city.

Elk Grove Pride is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. June 20 at Laguna Town Hall, located at 3020 Renwick Ave. The event will feature live performances, food vendors, art vendors and educational resources, according to the city of Elk Grove’s website.

The event is free and open to the public, according to Explore Elk Grove, a nonprofit organization that produces community events in the city. Face masks are required for attendees, according to the organization’s website.

Elk Grove Pride is a “youth-centered celebration” intended to “showcase and support Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) LGBTQIA+ organizations, artists, and creatives, while also providing resources for youth in Elk Grove and the surrounding Sacramento areas,” according to Explore Elk Grove.

Other Pride celebrations in the area include Sacramento Pride, scheduled for June 13 and 14.
