Some Rancho Cordova neighborhood streets see upgrades. Here’s where, what it cost
Construction is expected to be completed this summer on improvements to Rancho Cordova’s Countryside neighborhood streets.
The Countryside neighborhood is bordered by Folsom Boulevard to the north, Routier Road to the west and Mather Field Road to the east.
This phase of the project includes resurfacing roadways, updating drainage infrastructure and adding high-visibility markings on the roadway. Construction, which began in August 2025, is expected to be completed in June, according to Maria Kniestedt, a spokesperson for Rancho Cordova.
The total project cost is $9.6 million, according to Kniestedt.
Money for this project comes from the city’s community enhancement and investment fund, which is supplied by Measures H and R, one-half cent local sales tax measures that were approved by voters in 2014 and 2020, respectively. Funds are also supplied from the statewide gas tax, also known as the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017.
