Police say 1 dead after vehicle, bicycle crash in Roseville

Roadway fatality

An individual has died after a vehicle and bicycle collided near Roseville High School, according to Nick Gaines, a spokesperson for the Roseville Police Department.

Around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, a car and bicycle collided on Berry Street between Tiger Way and Reserve Drive in Roseville, according to Gaines.

One of the individuals did not survive their injuries, but Gaines declined to provide information about whether the driver or the bicyclist died as a result of their injuries, citing the need to notify the victim’s family members.

According to 2023 data from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, more than 1,100 bicyclists were killed in crashes with motor vehicles.

Police reopened Berry Street to traffic Monday afternoon, according to a post on the Roseville Police Department’s Facebook page.

Gaines said that substances were not involved in the accident.
