Jennifer Lopez is coming back to Sacramento after 5 years. Here’s how to get tickets
Jennifer Lopez is coming to Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center this summer after a five-year hiatus.
The singer and actress, who previously performed at the venue in 2019, is launching her North American tour starting in June, according to a Live Nation news release.
The new 34-city tour, called “This Is Me…Now The Tour,” includes a stop at Golden 1 Center on July 17.
On Friday, the Grammy Award-winning pop star will release her new album, “This Is Me…Now,” as well as an Amazon Original film, “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story.”
The movie, directed by Dave Meyers, includes appearances by celebrities including Sofia Vergara, Keke Palmer, Trevor Noah and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Lopez released a single from the album, “Can’t Get Enough” featuring Latto, on Jan. 10.
“This Is Me...Now” is Lopez’s first studio album in nearly a decade, the release said, and will feature a blend of pop, R&B and hip hop.
“(It’s) Jennifer Lopez’s story, in Jennifer Lopez’s words,” the release said. “Her lyrics delve into the highs and lows of life, love, and relationships with unflinching honesty and introspection as she unveils a genuine story of growth, resilience, hard work and the transformative power of self love.”
J.Lo previously performed in Sacramento in 2019 as part of the “It’s My Party: The Live Celebration” tour.
Since then, she’s rekindled her relationship with actor Ben Affleck, performed in a Super Bowl halftime show and appeared in a handful of movies, including “Marry Me” and “Shotgun Wedding.”
