Fitz and the Tantrums are headlining the California State Fair. Who else is coming to Cal Expo?
Indie pop band Fitz and the Tantrums will take the main stage at the California State Fair this summer as a headliner.
The Los Angeles-based band will be joined by country artist and American Idol winner Scotty McCreery and rock band Gin Blossoms, Cal Expo officials said this week.
“We are thrilled to bring such talented and popular musicians to the California State Fair for our concert series,” Tom Martinez, CEO of the fair, said in the release. “With the highest concert budget, we’ve ever had, we’re committed to providing our fairgoers with an unforgettable entertainment experience.”
He added that more artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
When’s the fair?
The annual fair will take place from July 14 to July 30 at Cal Expo.
The concerts, which are a part of the Toyota Concert Series, are free with fair admission.
Fitz and the Tantrums are playing Friday, July 14, and Scott McCreery is headlining Thursday, July 20. Gin Blossoms will play on Friday, July 28.
According to fair officials, 14 more artists will play at the fair from July 15 to July 30.

Early bird prices will run until July 13 with prices set at:
- $14 for adults
- $10 for seniors
- $8 for children 5 to 12 years old
- Free for children under 5
General admission, which starts July 14, start at:
- $16 for adults
- $12 for seniors
- $10 for children 5 to 12 years old
Free for children under 5
