Best Sacramento-area pizza bracket: Let’s vote again. Where should you buy a slice?

Earlier this month, The Bee asked readers to vote for their favorite Sacramento-area pizza place and the poll exploded with responses from excited and passionate pie advocates.

More than 8,700 responses were recorded. And even though there were close to 40 pizza options to choose from, The Bee received dozens of reader submissions for additions.

So we’re doing it again — but we’re changing the rules.

We took the pizza places that raked in at least 100 votes in the first poll, excluding chain spots, then we added notable reader submissions to make a new poll with 16 options. It’s time for “Pizza Madness.”

There will be four rounds of voting until you decide the top pizza place in the area.

This round, choose eight out of 16 shops you think should move on to round two. And with each round, the pool becomes smaller until there are two pizza shops left to battle for the No. 1 spot.

So Sacramento, which eight pizza shops deserve to move on to the next round?

Only one vote per person. The poll closes at noon on Friday, April 1. Remember: This poll is not scientific — it’s for fun!
