How can you score free breakfast at Northern California Chick-fil-A locations?

As people around the world make their New Year’s resolutions, a fried chicken chain is resolving to get Sacramento-area diners to “Eat Mor Chikin.”

Chick-Fil-A restaurants across Northern California are offering free breakfast sandwiches to all customers in the first two weeks of the year.

“We’re thrilled to kick off the new year by treating our neighbors to a complimentary breakfast item,” Jeremy Youngers, owner of an Arden Arcade Chick-fil-A, said in a news release. “We hope our guests will stop by and enjoy a chicken biscuit, on us!”

According to a Chick-fil-A spokesperson, 17 restaurants across Northern California are participants in the giveaway.

Here’s how you can get your free chicken breakfast.

Where can I get free Chick-fil-A breakfast in Sacramento?

According to a news release, “participating” Chick-fil-A locations are involved in the offer.

The Sacramento area has 12 open restaurants from Vacaville to Auburn. A Folsom location is closed for remodeling and a new Elk Grove location was listed as “coming soon” on the Chick-fil-A website.

Most locations offer breakfast from opening hours — typically between 6 a.m.-7 a.m. — until 10:30 a.m. All Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays.

Which Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Modesto area are offering free breakfast?

Four locations in the San Joaquin Valley are participating in the free breakfast deal, according to a Chick-fil-A spokesperson. Though none of the restaurants reside directly in Modesto, they are all located near a major Valley highway.

Two of the participating Chick-fil-A locations are in Manteca — on East Yosemite Avenue and West Atherton Drive — while one is in Lathrop and one is in Stockton.

How do I get my free Chick-fil-A breakfast?

Chick-fil-A’s free breakfast offering is exclusive to the restaurant’s app, according to a news release. The deal started Monday and runs through Saturday, Jan. 17.

The free breakfast offer is limited to a choice between a chicken biscuit or a spicy chicken biscuit. Customers signed up for the restaurant’s rewards program, Chick-fil-A One, may redeem one sandwich per rewards program account throughout the giveaway’s duration, the news release said.

Northern California fans of the Atlanta-based fried chicken chain can find the free sandwich offer in their app, according to the release.

Chick-fil-A is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2026 with new menu items, nostalgic merchandise and limited-time cups with retro designs. As part of a giveaway, 3,000 customers who find a golden drink cup will win free Chick-fil-A for a year.
