New stores, restaurants opening in Elk Grove. Here’s what you’ll find

An Elk Grove retail center is welcoming more new tenants; a sandwich franchise will soon make its Elk Grove debut; and a popular furniture chain recently opened its doors in the city.

Cosmetics retailer Sephora recently opened its location at The Ridge at Elk Grove Boulevard and Bruceville Road, next door to the nearly 42,000 square-foot Amazon Fresh supermarket now under construction.

Sephora is just one of several new entries at The Ridge including Bay area franchise eatery Nick The Greek. The newly opened casual dining and carryout spot adds to the chain’s growing list of Sacramento-area locations including sites in Davis and Roseville.

Running outfitter Fleet Feet will soon make the short jog from the Laguna Gateway South shopping center on Laguna Boulevard to The Ridge, storefront signage shows. Its new location is planned for the same row as Nick The Greek and another recent Ridge entry, Mayweather Boxing Fitness.

In the meantime, The Ridge awaits a new Curry Up Now location and Buffalo Wild Wings is close to opening its new corner spot in the center at Elk Grove Boulevard and Bruceville Road.

At Laguna Gateway South, sandwich franchise Earl of Sandwich is close to an opening date, with signage already posted and an application to sell alcohol in the works.

For Florida-based Earl of Sandwich, the Elk Grove location will be its northernmost in California. Others are in the Bay Area and Southern California, according to its website.

At the busy Laguna Crossroads shopping center at Laguna Boulevard and Bruceville Road, Bob’s Discount Furniture opened its 32,000 square feet-plus showroom in late April.

The Connecticut-based home furnishing chain has company at the Crossroads center with the recent relocation of Bath and Body Works from Marketplace 99 shopping center on East Stockton Boulevard.
