Our Lost Spring: How the coronavirus crisis changed our lives
It’s been more than two months since the coronavirus arrived in Sacramento, shutting down schools, closing restaurants and robbing tens of thousands of their livelihoods. As the season changed and the weather warmed, we were largely confined to the shelter of our homes, separated from the ones we love and the experiences that make this time of year so renewing.
This is our Lost Spring.
In the days ahead, The Sacramento Bee is telling the story of how the coronavirus changed our lives, through the eyes of our neighbors. The pastor whose congregation was torn apart by the virus. The cop trying to keep a jail from turning into a virus epicenter. The mayor, governing his anxious city from his living room.
