Midtown’s La Cantina Alley announced Thursday they would close until at least July 30 after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

Midtown’s Cantina Alley is closing until at least July 30 after an employee tested positive for COVID-19, the midtown Sacramento restaurant announced Thursday via Instagram.

“We regret to inform you that despite our team’s best efforts to comply and operate within the physical-distancing safety guidelines established, one of our family (staff) members has tested positive for COVID-19,” the restaurant said via social media.

The infected staff member last worked June 30 through July 5, the post said.

As a result, the restaurant’s management said it will work to have the entire staff tested for COVID-19, and will ask staff members to self-quarantine for the next two weeks. A deep cleaning of the restaurant also is planned.

“The safety of our community and the Cantina family is important to us. Please continue to take all appropriate safety precautions for your own health, family and community,” the restaurant posted.
