The Sacramento County Fair returns to Cal Expo after a two-year coronavirus hiatus for Memorial Day weekend. The fair features animal exhibits, rides, carnival food and music.
The fair runs through Memorial Day. It opens at 10 a.m. daily and closes at 10 p.m., except on Monday when it closes at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and kids age 11 and under are free.
This year’s fair includes a dinosaur exhibit, bull riding and demolition derby, in addition to lots of carnival rides, fair food and 4H and FFA animals.
Established in 1937, the county fair precedes the California State Fair, which runs July 15-31.
