A fire seriously damaged a nonprofit alcoholism recovery center in Carmichael early Monday morning, authorities said.

Firefighters were dispatched at 2:40 a.m. to a structure fire in the 5800 block of Gibbons Drive, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said in social media posts.

The building’s roof partially collapsed, Metro Fire said. No one was inside at the time, and no injuries were reported.

Photos posted by Metro Fire show the fire happened at the Sunset No-Al Club, a nonprofit organization that hosts Alcoholics Anonymous meetings five days a week. According to its website, Sunset No-Al opened in 1970.

The cause of Monday’s fire remains under investigation, Metro Fire said.
